Covert Public Schools

Middle and high school robotics team members had the opportunity to observe and then work with a team from Holtec, the company that has played an essential role in re-opening the Palisades nuclear facilities. The purpose of the visit was for the Holtec team to practice using their robot technology in an underwater environment, which is similar to the conditions they will under while ensuring the safety of the nuclear facilities. During the testing, our students had the opportunity to work with the retrieval technology and learn more about potential career fields and trades associated with this kind of work. It was a unique opportunity!
